MPower will be closed Mon, Sep 1, 2025 for Labor Day.
Welcome to MPower, an agency developed to meet the Targeted Case Management needs of Individuals with developmental disabilities in Pettis, Saline, Lafayette, and Benton Counties. At MPower, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the highest quality case management services available in Central Missouri. We believe that the individuals we serve deserve an advocate that is highly trained, well-educated on the latest trends and highly motivated to assist people in navigating the intricate systems of State and Federal funding sources and the growing list of qualified providers.
Empowering people to manage the direction of their life.
We are committed to the belief that promoting an individual’s hopes, wants and dreams is the first step to achieving self-determination.
We believe in you, we believe in your hopes, wants, and dreams. We believe that when you are “MPowered” to make your own choices and have the proper supports, then you have the greatest potential for success. It is our pleasure to walk beside you.
MPower is completing a community needs assessment. The survey will help identify the most important needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Pettis County. Your input will guide how local tax levy funds are used to improve services and supports.

As September arrives, we welcome the changing season and the opportunities it brings. This month is recognized nationally as Disaster Preparedness Month and Self-Improvement Month, two themes that resonate deeply with the work we do in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
In Missouri, we know that emergencies, whether they are severe storms, flooding, or unexpected crises, can happen at any time. For the individuals and families we serve, being prepared is especially important. Having a plan in place ensures safety, reduces anxiety, and provides a sense of control during uncertain times. This month, I encourage everyone to take time to review your household emergency plans, check that you have updated contact information, medications, and supplies on hand, and talk with your support teams about how you will communicate and stay safe during emergencies. Our staff is here to help connect you with resources and tools to strengthen your preparedness. Planning today makes tomorrow more secure.
September also offers us the chance to focus inward. Self-improvement doesn’t have to mean big changes. It can be small, intentional steps toward growth. For our staff, this may look like setting professional development goals, practicing self-care, or building stronger connections with one another. For the individuals and families we support, it can mean celebrating progress, learning new skills, or finding fresh ways to advocate for personal needs.
Together, disaster preparedness and self-improvement remind us that investing in both safety and personal growth helps build resilience for individuals, families, and our entire community.
As always, thank you for the trust you place in our organization. It is an honor to serve and walk alongside you in this journey.
