MPower will be closed November 27th, & 28th, 2025 for Thanksgiving Holiday.
Welcome to MPower, an agency developed to meet the Targeted Case Management needs of Individuals with developmental disabilities in Pettis, Saline, Lafayette, and Benton Counties. At MPower, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the highest quality case management services available in Central Missouri. We believe that the individuals we serve deserve an advocate that is highly trained, well-educated on the latest trends and highly motivated to assist people in navigating the intricate systems of State and Federal funding sources and the growing list of qualified providers.
Empowering people to manage the direction of their life.
We are committed to the belief that promoting an individual’s hopes, wants and dreams is the first step to achieving self-determination.
We believe in you, we believe in your hopes, wants, and dreams. We believe that when you are “MPowered” to make your own choices and have the proper supports, then you have the greatest potential for success. It is our pleasure to walk beside you.
MPower is completing a community needs assessment. The survey will help identify the most important needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Pettis County. Your input will guide how local tax levy funds are used to improve services and supports.

As we move through February, I’m reminded how closely our work is connected to the idea of care in big ways and in small, everyday moments.
February is Heart Health Awareness Month, a timely reminder that caring for ourselves allows us to better support the individuals and families we serve. Whether it’s scheduling that annual checkup, finding ways to manage stress, or simply taking a moment to breathe, heart health is foundational to overall well-being.
This month also highlights Children’s Dental Health, an important but often overlooked part of lifelong health. For many of the children and families we support, access to preventive dental care can make a lasting difference, not just in physical health, but in confidence, comfort, and quality of life. It’s another example of how small supports can lead to meaningful outcomes.
We also get a moment of lighthearted tradition with Groundhog Day. While we may not rely on a groundhog to predict our future, the day offers a gentle reminder that change is always coming and that progress often happens one step at a time.
On Random Acts of Kindness Day, I encourage everyone to pause and recognize the power of simple kindness. A thank-you note, a supportive word, or an extra moment of patience can have a ripple effect far beyond what we see. Kindness is at the heart of the work we do every day.
Finally, Valentine’s Day gives us a chance to celebrate love in all its forms, love for our families, our coworkers, our community, and the people we are honored to serve. The compassion and commitment shown by our staff and partners is a powerful expression of that love.
Thank you for the care, professionalism, and heart you bring to this work. Together, we continue to make a difference one person, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.
With appreciation,
Katharine Robershaw
Executive Director
