MPower will be closed November 27th, & 28th, 2025 for Thanksgiving Holiday.
Welcome to MPower, an agency developed to meet the Targeted Case Management needs of Individuals with developmental disabilities in Pettis, Saline, Lafayette, and Benton Counties. At MPower, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the highest quality case management services available in Central Missouri. We believe that the individuals we serve deserve an advocate that is highly trained, well-educated on the latest trends and highly motivated to assist people in navigating the intricate systems of State and Federal funding sources and the growing list of qualified providers.
Empowering people to manage the direction of their life.
We are committed to the belief that promoting an individual’s hopes, wants and dreams is the first step to achieving self-determination.
We believe in you, we believe in your hopes, wants, and dreams. We believe that when you are “MPowered” to make your own choices and have the proper supports, then you have the greatest potential for success. It is our pleasure to walk beside you.
MPower is completing a community needs assessment. The survey will help identify the most important needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Pettis County. Your input will guide how local tax levy funds are used to improve services and supports.

As we settle into the heart of summer, July provides an opportunity to celebrate our nation's independence while also reflecting on the importance of independence in the lives of the individuals we serve every day.
At MPower, our mission is empowering people to manage the direction of their life. That mission is at the center of every interaction our Service Coordinators have with individuals and families. Independence looks different for everyone. For some, it may mean securing meaningful employment, learning new life skills, or moving into a home of their own. For others, it may be building stronger community connections, advocating for their needs, or achieving personal goals that once seemed out of reach. We are honored to walk alongside each person as they define and pursue their own vision of a meaningful life.
July is also Disability Pride Month, a time to recognize the valuable contributions, talents, and achievements of individuals with disabilities while promoting inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities within our communities. We encourage everyone to take time this month to learn more about disability inclusion and to celebrate the diversity that strengthens our communities.
Summer also brings opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities, vacations, fairs, and community events. We encourage everyone to stay safe by staying hydrated, using sun protection, and planning ahead for any accommodations needed while traveling or participating in community activities. Our Service Coordinators are always available to help individuals connect with resources that support successful participation in community life.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to our dedicated staff. Your compassion, professionalism, and commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. Every conversation, every visit, and every act of advocacy helps empower individuals to reach their goals and live more independently.
Thank you to the individuals, families, providers, community partners, and Board members who continue to support our mission. Together, we are building stronger communities where every person has the opportunity to live, work, and participate to the fullest.
I hope you and your family have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable July. Happy Independence Day!
Warm regards,
Katharine Robershaw
